HENRICO CO., VA. – TowneBank has signed a lease to locate a banking office at Libbie Mill-Midtown, the largest revitalization project in Henrico’s 400-year history.

The recently-signed agreement between the bank and Gumenick Properties, the community’s developer, provides for the bank to occupy almost 2,700 square feet of space at 4901 Libbie Mill E. Blvd. Located near the community’s entrance on Staples Mill Road, the branch will be in an already-completed building. The office is expected to open in the fourth quarter of this year. It will replace the existing Azalea Office on Brook Road in Richmond.

“TowneBank is excited about our newly planned banking center at Libbie Mill-Midtown,” said Pat Collins, President, TowneBank Richmond. “We are pleased to be a part of this great mixed-use development as Gumenick Properties works to revitalize this important community. We look forward to providing our full array of financial products and services, including commercial loans, consumer loans, deposit products, insurance and investments to name a few, to the businesses and individuals that make the community around Libbie Mill-Midtown their home or office.”

TowneBank joins a growing list of organizations that have chosen Libbie Mill-Midtown as their home. These groups include: Richmond Memorial Health Foundation; the Libbie Mill Library; Rutherfoord, a Marsh and McLennan Agency, LLC Company; Shagbark Restaurant and Gumenick Properties.

Libbie Mill-Midtown will be unique, existing as both a thriving local community and a regional destination. Its Midtown location is convenient to Richmond, western Henrico and major roadways, including I-64 and I-95. A walkable, live-work-play community, Libbie Mill- Midtown is approved for up to 994 homes for sale and 1,096 apartments. The neighborhood also will have a total of about 200,000 square feet of commercial space. It is estimated to take about 10 years to complete.
